A brief history of where our agency started and how we have gotten to where we are today
ROAR Media began as a bunch of ideas scrawled on a window in Expo marker… And grew into the ultra agency it is today!
In 2017, CEO Dallin Cottle left the world of corporate sales and advertising for good. He drew on his years of experience in business development and marketing consulting to start taking on personal clients -- a handful at a time at first, but as Dallin’s reputation grew, so did the number of referrals coming through his door. In the spirit of “high velocity” marketing (the concept that would later form the backbone of ROAR Media), Dallin spent endless hours honing in on his niche, developing growth tactics for his clients, and building a network that quickly outgrew outside of his hometown of Brigham City, Utah.
In those early months, Dallin -- like many startup CEOs -- took on every client he could find. He quickly realized, however, that his passion was in helping entrepreneurs with big personalities like his own: Coaches, fitness trainers, and business guides who wanted to help other people in the same ways Dallin helped his clients. He made the executive decision to pivot the business to focus solely on these personalities -- and within 24 hours of making that affirmation, he was closing more deals than he had in the past three months combined.
The growth was explosive. Before long, Dallin was facing more work than he could handle on his own. He picked a business name -- Divulge Marketing -- and hired his first employee. He discovered that by relying on his passions, he was exactly where he needed to be -- and the business growth spoke for itself.
Divulge grew from a one-man-show in a condo home office into a thriving agency with a fantastic team of creatives. Dallin and his new squad members developed new methods for creating and sharing content, providing advice to new clients and prospects, and connecting with an enormous network of entrepreneurs. The agency’s reputation grew faster than we could have expected -- in fact, within a few months of the business’s official formation, the United States Air Force itself reached out to have Dallin’s team develop marketing strategies for their recruiters!
Any entrepreneur would have been happy “enough” with the agency’s growth. However, Dallin wanted to see just how far we could go. The team developed the Academy, a place where clients could find instant answers to their marketing questions, and learn high-velocity marketing tactics on their own schedules. The company’s specialties evolved past Google Ads and Facebook Ads to include a wide portfolio of services, including the paid ads, funnel development, and an analytics and data-driven approach we’re known for today.
By the end of 2019, we knew it was time for a change. After a lengthy exploration of the company’s mission, values, and goals, we rebranded, and officially relaunched as ROAR Media in 2020.
In just three short years, ROAR has grown from one plucky guy with a baby in one arm and his cell phone in the other, to a multifaceted, high-velocity agency supported by some of the coolest (and most wickedly talented) people on the planet.
Today, ROAR Media serves a wide range of clients in just about every industry, focusing on the big personalities that inspired Dallin to create the business we have today.
